Given the current state of the Nigerian economy, the cost of high-quality pet food and veterinary care has skyrocketed. If a couple in Nigeria decides to break up, how should they decide who keeps their pet, especially when the gadget-obsessed generation is often more emotionally attached to their animals than their partners? Is it time we start considering 'pet custody' agreements as seriously as we view asset sharing?
