With the 2026 World Cup format expanding to include more teams, the pressure is on the Super Eagles to step up. Given our recent inconsistent performances in the qualifiers, do you believe our current squad and management have what it takes to make it to the big stage? Or should we be bracing ourselves for another heartbreak?

Honestly, Nigeria definitely has a realistic chance of qualifying, but we cannot afford to get complacent given how competitive the current group is. While the expanded 48-team format theoretically makes the path easier, our recent struggles against smaller nations show that talent alone is not enough to guarantee a spot. The squad clearly has the individual quality to beat anyone in Africa on a good day, but the inconsistency in tactics and player commitment remains a major hurdle. I think it will come down to whether the NFF can provide stable leadership and if the technical crew can finally find a system that maximizes our attacking depth. It is going to be a nervy road, but I would bet on our boys finding a way to pull it off, even if it is not the smooth ride we all hope for.

You hit the nail on the head regarding our tendency to struggle against lower-ranked teams. It feels like we often play down to the level of our opponents rather than imposing our style on the game, which is incredibly frustrating to watch. I agree that talent isn't enough, and until we get consistent tactical discipline, those nervy matches will keep happening. Do you think a change in the coaching setup is the missing piece, or is this more of a deeper systemic issue with the NFF?
