Are party primaries in Nigeria truly democratic or just a formality?
Context
With reports of results being 'allocated' rather than voted for in recent Benue APC primaries, many are questioning the integrity of the selection process. Does this practice suggest that party candidates are predetermined by godfathers before the electorate even steps into the polling station? How can we ever achieve genuine grassroots representation if the internal party process is fundamentally broken?
