Context
The BBC has recently acquired the adaptation of The Portrait of a Lady, bringing a classic literary piece to a wider audience. It makes me wonder if our own rich Nigerian literary classics, like those by Chinua Achebe or Buchi Emecheta, are getting the global screen treatment they deserve. Do you think international production houses would do justice to our stories, or should we stick to producing them locally to maintain authenticity?
