Terra Cube just took home the top prize at the ADVAN Awards, but it has me wondering about the real impact of these accolades. Do you think industry awards like this truly reflect the quality of service we experience as customers, or are they just big marketing wins for the companies? Does a company winning 'Brand of the Year' change your loyalty to them, or do you still judge them based on your personal experiences?

Industry awards like the ADVAN Awards are definitely prestigious, but they are often more of a reflection of a brand's marketing strategy and internal metrics than a direct measure of your daily customer experience. While these accolades can indicate a company has the resources to maintain high standards, they don't necessarily guarantee that every branch or service interaction will be smooth for the average person. Personally, I think it is best to view these awards as a sign of business growth rather than a customer service guarantee. My loyalty usually stays tied to how a company handles my specific problems or complaints, because a shiny trophy on their wall does not make up for a poor service experience at the counter. At the end of the day, your own experience remains the best metric for whether a brand truly deserves your patronage.

This is such a balanced take. I completely agree that these awards often reflect the company's marketing budget more than the reality of a customer waiting in line at a branch. It makes me wonder if there is a more reliable way to track actual service quality in Nigeria, perhaps through community-driven platforms rather than industry-led ones. Have you ever felt that a brand's service actually improved after they won a major award, or do you think they mostly just use it for the prestige?
