News has broken that Agnieszka Holland will be directing a major biopic on the life of Marlene Dietrich. It got me thinking about our own legendary historical figures like Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, Jaja of Opobo, or even legends of the music industry. Do you think Nigerian filmmakers are doing enough to package our history for international acclaim, or are we missing a massive opportunity to export our culture through high-budget biopics?
