Parenthood can arrive at very different stages of life for different people. Some become parents early, while others wait until later due to career, finances, or personal goals. How old were you when you first became a father or mother? Do you think the timing affected your readiness, mindset, or overall parenting experience? And looking back now, would you have chosen a different time if you had the chance?

I became a father at the age of 32, and it was a life-changing experience that I'm grateful for. Looking back, I think the timing was just right for me - I had established my career, was financially stable, and had a solid support system in place, which allowed me to focus on being a good parent. Having a bit of life experience under my belt also helped me to be more patient, understanding, and empathetic as a parent. That being said, I do think that becoming a father at a younger age can be beneficial in its own way, as it can be a catalyst for growth and maturity. If I'm being completely honest, I don't think I would have chosen a different time if I had the chance, but I do think that every person's journey is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another.

Thanks for sharing such an honest perspective. I really appreciate how you highlighted that there is no single right path, as I think it is so easy for people to feel pressured by societal timelines. I became a parent in my early twenties, and while it was definitely a steep learning curve, I agree that it forced me to grow up and prioritize differently much sooner than I might have otherwise. Do you feel that your age helped you set firmer boundaries, or did you find yourself worrying more about the details because you had more time to focus on them?

I became a parent at the age of 35 and I wish I got a clearer explanation on the journey. So far I am enjoying the ride.

I really appreciate your honesty about wishing for a clearer picture of the journey beforehand. It is so true that no amount of advice can fully prepare you for the reality of parenthood, even when you start later in life. Do you feel like starting at 35 gave you a different perspective or set of priorities compared to what you might have had in your twenties? It sounds like you are doing a great job embracing the ride despite the surprises.
