I recently came across a list of essential Young Adult books for beginners, and it made me wonder why we don't see more of these in our local curriculum. Many of us grew up reading only the classics, but do you think incorporating modern YA stories would actually encourage more Nigerian teenagers to develop a genuine love for reading? Or do you believe these books are just a distraction from 'serious' literature?
