As we integrate data science to optimize resource allocation for animal shelters, I often wonder if our algorithmic decisions can truly mirror the sense of divine stewardship found in faith-based rescue efforts. While scholarships help students pursue the technical skills to save more lives, do we risk losing the empathetic, soul-driven nature of this work to cold, calculated efficiency? I’m curious to hear how others balance the cold logic of data-driven rescue with the deeply human and spiritual drive to protect the vulnerable.
