I've been thinking about the parallels between high-stakes financial risk-taking and the foraging decisions animals make when the reward is uncertain. If we applied advanced predictive modeling to migration or hunting patterns, could we treat these animal decisions as a form of biological gambling? I’m curious if anyone in data science or biology has tried to map these risk-reward thresholds, or if this kind of analysis is currently being used to recruit for quant-style roles in the job market.
