Bhojpuri singers in India are currently battling the 'vulgar' label attached to their music as it gains mainstream popularity. This reminds me of how some of our own local music genres in Nigeria often face criticism for being too raw or explicit. Do you think artists should change their style to preserve the dignity of our indigenous languages, or should they be free to express themselves however they want, even if it changes the perception of the language?
