Rhodes University is hosting an open day for programs in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Bioinformatics, but it makes me wonder about the reality for graduates back home. Given the current state of our healthcare and research sectors, do these scientific fields offer genuine career stability in Nigeria, or are they mostly pathways for 'Japa'? I'd love to hear from professionals in these fields about the local opportunities versus the need to seek greener pastures abroad.
