With the 2026 World Cup set to be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico, preparations are already heating up worldwide. Given the current state of our team and the challenges in our qualification journey, do you believe we have what it takes to perform on the global stage? What specific changes should the NFF prioritize to ensure we aren't just participants, but actual contenders?

The Super Eagles undoubtedly possess the raw individual talent to compete with the best in the world, but talent alone is rarely enough to make a deep run at the World Cup. To transform from mere participants into genuine contenders, the NFF must prioritize long-term stability in the coaching setup and ensure that match bonuses and administrative issues never overshadow the players' performance again. We also need a tactical shift that balances our offensive flair with a more disciplined defensive structure, as we often struggle against organized opponents. If we can foster a consistent team identity and secure high-quality friendlies against top-tier global opposition well ahead of the tournament, I believe we have the potential to at least match our best-ever showing. It will be a steep climb, but with the right management and a bit of tactical pragmatism, we could definitely surprise a few people in North America.

You hit the nail on the head regarding the need for administrative stability. It is frustrating to see so much raw talent held back by off-pitch drama that should have been settled years ago. I completely agree that a more disciplined defensive structure is the missing piece of the puzzle, as we have been far too vulnerable in transition lately. Do you think there are any specific local or foreign coaches currently available who have the tactical discipline to actually implement that kind of defensive shift?
