- Provide accurate payout and identity information
onGist reserves the right to approve or deny eligibility at its sole discretion.
3. Monetization Features
3.1 Tipping
Users may voluntarily send monetary tips to Creators.
- Tips are discretionary and non-refundable (except in cases of fraud or error)
- onGist may apply a service fee
3.2 Paid Questions / Priority Visibility
Users may pay to:
- Increase visibility of their questions
- Incentivize faster or higher-quality responses
Creators are not guaranteed payment unless explicitly specified.
3.3 Sponsored Content
onGist may allow:
Creators must clearly disclose sponsored content where applicable.
4. Revenue Share and Fees
onGist may deduct:
- Platform service fees
- Payment processing fees
Net earnings will be credited to the Creator's account. Fee structures may change and will be communicated where required.
5. Earnings and Wallet
Creators may have an in-app wallet showing:

- Holding periods
- Verification checks
Before funds become withdrawable.

7. Prohibited Monetization Activities
Creators must NOT:
- Use bots or fake accounts to generate tips or engagement
- Coordinate fraudulent tipping schemes
- Mislead users for financial gain
- Post low-quality or spam content solely for earnings
- Manipulate trust scores or reputation
8. Fraud Detection and Enforcement
onGist may:
- Monitor transactions and behavior
- Flag suspicious activity
- Delay or withhold payouts
- Reverse transactions
- Suspend or terminate accounts
Fraudulent earnings may be forfeited.
9. Content Ownership and Licensing
Creators retain ownership of their Content.
However, by monetizing Content, you grant onGist the right to:
Your Content in connection with monetization features.
10. Taxes
Creators are responsible for:
- Reporting earnings
- Paying applicable taxes
onGist may provide transaction records but does not provide tax advice.
11. Refunds and Disputes

Refunds may be issued in cases of:
- Fraud
- Technical errors
- Policy violations
11.2 Disputes
onGist reserves the right to investigate disputes and make final decisions regarding payouts and refunds.
12. Suspension and Termination
onGist may suspend or terminate monetization access if:
- Policies are violated
- Fraud is suspected
- Account integrity is compromised
This may include freezing earnings and canceling pending payouts.
13. No Guarantee of Earnings
onGist does not guarantee:
- Income
- Audience reach
- Engagement
Earnings depend on user activity and content quality.
14. Changes to Monetization Features
onGist may:
- Modify or discontinue features
- Adjust fees or thresholds
- Introduce new monetization options
15. Limitation of Liability
onGist is not liable for:
- Loss of earnings
- Payment delays caused by third parties
- User behavior affecting tips
16. Compliance with Laws
Creators must comply with:
- Applicable financial regulations
- Anti-money laundering laws
- Local tax laws
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
